If something is broken, including these details gets it fixed faster:
- Your phone and its OS version (for example, iPhone 15, iOS 26.1)
- The email address on your FitBound account
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
- When it happened, and whether it happens every time
- A screenshot, if there is something to see
Common questions
The alarm behaves differently on my iPhone than my friend’s Android
That’s expected, and it’s a platform limit rather than a bug. On Android, the alarm takes over the screen and stays there until you verify. On iPhone, Apple requires every alarm to have a working Stop button, so it can always be stopped — instead it keeps coming back until you prove you went. The iPhone version needs iOS 26 or later.
The alarm didn’t go off
Check, in order:
- Notification permission is granted to FitBound in your phone’s settings.
- Battery saving or low-power mode isn’t restricting the app. Android battery optimisation in particular can delay alarms.
- The schedule in the app has the day and time you expect, in the right time zone.
- The phone was on and had storage available.
If all of that looks right and it still didn’t fire, email us with the date and time it should have gone off.
My photo was rejected but I really was at the gym
The check is automatic and it does get things wrong sometimes — poor light, a tight crop, or an unusual-looking space can all cause it. Try again with more of the room in frame, including recognisable equipment.
If a valid photo is rejected repeatedly, email us with roughly when you tried. We can look at what the check returned and correct the day.
Are my gym photos stored anywhere?
No. Proof photos are checked and then discarded — they are never saved to a database or storage. Only the result is kept. Profile photos, if you upload one, are stored and are publicly accessible by direct link. Both are explained in the Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they have to be cancelled there — we can’t do it for you, and deleting your account does not stop billing.
- iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → FitBound → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → FitBound → Cancel.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from.
How do I delete my account?
Email ayolowo9@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll do it within 30 days and confirm when it’s done. This removes your profile, schedule, attendance history, streaks, friend connections, and profile photo.
Cancel your subscription separately in your app store first — account deletion does not stop billing.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email us from your account address and we’ll send you what we hold. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
Who can see that I missed a workout?
Only friends you have accepted. They see your streak, whether today’s session is done, and days you missed recently — and they get a notification naming you when you miss one. Nobody else can see your schedule or attendance. If you’d rather nobody saw it, don’t accept friend requests.
Can I change my schedule after setup?
Yes, any time, from the Schedule screen in the app. New alarms are set when you save.
